Born on August 20, 1974 in Vicenza, Italy to an American family.

Her full name is Amy Lou.

Amy Adams spent her high school years in Colorado. She took acting classes, then played at the St. Paul Theater, Minnesota.

Starred in television series in supporting roles and episodes. She made her big screen debut in 1999 as Leslie Miller in Killer Beauties. She drew attention to herself in the film directed by Steven Spielberg "Catch me if you can" (2002), where she played Brenda the bride of Leonardo DiCaprio's character.

The real success came to the actress thanks to the role of Ashley in the film
